I grew up in the 80s with no TV and loved my radio. I listened to everything, from Lazer 558 to JVC Radio, '105 the frequency, wildfire the music'. I still remember a jingle! I was glued to my radio every Sunday afternoon listening to the charts and spending all my money on TDK D90's to record music, mostly pirate stations. I started numbering cassettes, got to 110 and for whatever reason stopped cataloguing but continued recording.
I went into the Audio trade as an engineer, I can repair just about anything to component level. Previous clients include Madness, Kooks, Klaxons, Lee Perry, Incognito and lots more. I became involved with Hospital Radio, this led to starting my own mobile disco company that's been going for over 10 years, my company hires out and repairs PA/DJ gear too.
At events I play what the crowd want to hear. Sounds that I like are drumbeats and basslines, Funk Soul House Reggae Ska Indie and all the sub-genres, from James Brown to Jimi Hendrix I'm a BIG music fan!
