Mark Edwards, better known in the early ’90s as DJ Bass, started DJing during the UK rave era, playing hardcore, rave and early jungle at local venues, parties and mini-raves across Norwich and Nottingham.
He was a resident DJ at the Worlds End Mini Raves in Mulbarton and also played on URN Radio in Nottingham.
As his musical tastes evolved, he adopted the name Mark E and moved towards underground house music, a style that remains a passion today.
Most of the mixes on this Mixcloud are remastered versions of original recordings from the time, not modern recreations. They’ve been carefully restored to improve the sound while keeping the original track selection, mixing and atmosphere intact.
