Matty has been a music enthusiast and collector for over 30 years and a DJ and promoter for almost 25. He was co-creator and resident DJ at the Covent Garden basement party Soul City from 2003 where he had the privilege of sharing the decks with some of the most influential figures in underground soulful dance music such as Dave Lee, Benji B, Phil Asher, Spen & Karizma, Mark E, Kev Beadle and Dr. Bob Jones among many other talented DJs and producers.
Matty brings his diverse musical tastes to the airwaves with his monthly show, 'The Paradise Love Affair,' on Totally Wired Radio. The show is a sonic journey across genres and tempos, featuring everything from 70s and 80s Soul and Boogie, Jazz-Funk, Disco and Balearic, to Chicago House, New York Garage, Detroit Techno, and Broken Beat. His eclectic mix and passion for digging deep into the roots of music continue to captivate listeners worldwide.
