Matt Braun (aka The Record Player) is a true artist, messenger and connoisseur of many things. Amongst those is music. His passion for music started at age 8 but it would be a few more years until he really learned how addicted to music he was. Collecting all kinds of genres and even becoming interested in Free Jazz as a kid by his own discovery. In 1996 he really began his never-ending search for vinyl gems and has since defined a big part of his life and music collection.
It wasn't until 1999, having about 1k records and regular gigs that he actually declared himself a "DJ". Being personal friends & acquaintances with some of the best DJs in Philly and a constant thirst for knowledge had huge impact. Forever a student, his goal is simply to find and share music with the world.
