David Wells (Mathis Wellz) was born and raised in the city of Detroit. Mathis is a Songwriter, his ability to play with words are untouchable. He is an awesome chorus writer and his style would be considered “aggressive”. Mathis has been writing since he was 14 and has mastered it. He has been recording since he was 16. He understands that there will always be more room to learn. His inspiration comes from rappers like Eminem, Tupac, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Logic, Kyle and many more, but he would prefer to say his inspiration comes from the way he lives. Mathis has integrated his own style to music and has already released an album and a few single songs.
