MARRØN cover image

Amsterdam, Netherlands

The name MARRØN is inspired by the Maroon people of Surinam. Maroons were people from Africa who've been transported to Surinam to work as slaves. What separated them from others is the resistance. They resisted to be marked as slaves, and escaped into the jungle to live as free people. Until this day the Maroons are still living in Surinam and are very much respected and known as people with strong character. This is what MARRØN is all about, the rolling minimalistic deep sounds, jungle percussions and variated attractive kicks at high tempo, are there to notice and should be recognizable with a strong character as well.
