Maro Vedava is a greek mystic visual and digital artist, dancer, visionary theorist and priestess of the Goddess at Moon Nectar temple. She recently began Djing.
With academic studies in film-making, media, performance and Western esotericism Maro has presented her diverse work at various occasions, performed fusion belly dance on stages around Europe and (co-)organized different events and exhibitions.
Maro approaches music through its healing qualities for body and soul. She studied piano and guitar in her youth, and her love for electronic sounds began 20 years ago through EDM cultures. Her DJ sets are an homage to beauty, love, and eros, vibrations of Shakti blending ethnic and traditional acoustic elements with modern electronica. Maro’s musical selection starts with sensual psychedelic bass, drum, dub, and dubstep sounds infused with raga rhythms and reggae textures, gradually leading into groovy downtempo and psy-tech dancing tunes.
