Dj Yonkuman emerged from the spicy grounds of Indonesian restaurant Xapoe. Working in the kitchen he took on him the responsibilty for the music played in the restaurant. He found a love for forgotten and undiscoverd sounds.
When the son of the owner became his roommate they bought their first dj set and The BumbuSoundsystem was born.
Both had a respectable vinyl collection to start and soon they played in little restaurants and private parties.
The Rotterdam based duo, togheter with their tribe, planned their first mini festival. The festival containing a jammin station, open turntables, painting courses and a foodcourt, used an abandond officespace as their playground.
Sadly COVID came in a short period before BeatsAndPieces was to be celebrated and it had to be cancalled..

Right now Dj Yonkuman lives on the Caribean island of Curacao where he got the name Yonkuman. Playing reggae at a beach venue to perfect his skils as a digital dj.
