March 2012 saw the completion of a three month project delivered by Ignite Creative in which 18 young people from Hackney learned the principles of radio production. During the training they learned how to produce professional podcasts for Hackney Museum's Mapping the Change initiative. Mapping the Change is a unique community heritage project established by Hackney Museum to capture the voices of East London's diverse communities in the run up to the London 2012 Games. With funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the aim is to create a lasting legacy for future generations to understand this exciting phase of East London's History through photographic, digital media, text and audio-based recordings of the changes and local people's responses to them.
