Mal (Born Malaika Shaw) is an Irish/Ugandan DJ and Singer/Songwriter. As well as playing on line ups alongside the the likes of Fat Boy Slim, DJ Heidi and Fred Again. Malaika holds three residential radio shows on Balamii, Foundation FM and Threads.
After producing and self-releasing her first single “Call Me Honey” this accelerated Malaika's exposure and within her first year she had received airplay on Huw Stephens BBC Radio 1, Jamie Callum Radio 2 and has won an Unsigned Music Award.
