That is how MjdaDj describes himself as a Dj. Not startled by going deeper, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy.
Having grown in a township in Botswana where house kwaito, deep house, gqomu and later amapiano were widely listened genres,. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks, all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat. A very active member of his country’s musical events, MJdaDj is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of music scene. Though he loves playing in events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. He also has love for playing piano, and he is also a chorister singing the baritone voice. MJdaDj also regularly posts his mixes on wechat moments and pyro.
