That’s how Ramon describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Growing up on the island of Jamaica, DJ Ramon was heavily influenced by R&B music. At that time, Reggae music was not played on the radio often and his early exposures were to R&B, soul, and country music. His love for music began “before [he] even knew [his] own name”. At age 10, he started purchasing music to fuel his passion. He would use his lunch money to make sure that he had the latest albums that were released. While playing music, he began to practice, emulating the voice and dialect of his most influential DJs and sound selectors.
