born in Brooklyn, NYC to Jamaican Born Parents hence directly affecting his highly eclectic musical tastes and selections...Mellohype has been playing great music since the age of 16 when he got his first pair of technics belt drivens and a gemeni 4 channel mixer and two supercat 7 inch 45's (mud up riddim) fast forward to 2001 when he moved to Tampa FL to attend college the love for music followed and he eventually joined forces with DJ Silencer to form SnypaWorks HD one of Tampas leading sound systems. Mellohype embarked on many solo ventures to follow including a 4 year run as a Founding Resident DJ on Club Pranas Rooftop bar in Ybor city revolutionizing upscale caribbean nightlife as we knew and loved it. Followed by residencies at many other popular venues around town. Radio followed. Mellohype has been a regular staple on many Radio stations including Blaze345 (Cayman) and as of late Mellohype is heard on Island Fever FM (ORL) the Candace Buchanan Show on Dash Radio worldwide
