One of the biggest defects in life is the inability to ask for help. Refusing to ask for help when you need it is refusing someone the chance to be helpful. I think the hardest part to get to is that point of asking for help or reaching out to other people and being honest with yourself. Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference. Unsuccessful people are always asking, What's in it for me? For me, being vulnerable is asking for help from other people whatever it may be. Day after day, ordinary people become heroes through extraordinary and selfless actions. They carry out random acts of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for them. Compassion isn’t about solutions. It’s about giving all the love that you’ve got. Until we can receive with an open heart, we're never really giving with an open heart.
