Lost and Found in Sound is a monthly radio show featuring cutting edge electronic music curated and mixed by Cameron Schallenberg and Nicholas van Beek. This is not Electronic Dance Music (EDM), but rather an exploration on the fringes of electronic music. The music is atmospheric, often dark and mostly melodic. Accompanying field recordings of natural and urban sounds are often included. Nic is Canadian while Cameron grew up in New Zealand and currently lives in Canada, but the tracks are from across the globe – some classics of the genre and others yet to be released. Nic and I are amateurs with a real enthusiasm for electronic music. The equipment we use is a Zoom H4N Handy Recorder for field recordings and the Hercules RMX 2 DJ Controller for mixing. The genres that particularly interest us are ambient house, deep house, minimal, techno, tech house, dub and house music.
