Lone Star was a long running monthly party at Bar Bonobo in Tokyo hosted by producer/DJ, Max Essa, music writer, Dr Rob (Ban Ban Ton Ton), and music coordinator/DJ, Ken Hidaka
For over a decade between 2010 - 2021, on the first Saturday of each month, they rocked the world renowned Bonobo sound system with an incredible blend of disco, house, balearic beats, rock, jazz and ambient music from around the world. Guests included DJ Nori, Nick the Record, Dr Nishimura, Alex from Tokyo, DJ Kent, Marco Gallerani, Lipelis, Kito Jempere, Lexx, Chee Shimizu and many more.
