Halifax, Canada
Dance Grammar is a one-hour radio show that airs live on CKDU, 88.1 FM - the campus-community station of Halifax, Nova Scotia - every Saturday at midnight (11pm EST) from the top of the Dalhousie Student Union Building.
Deep funk, punk rock, highlife, house, raï, rave, swing, dancehall, folk, psychedelia, cumbia, comic opera...nothing I can see you dancing to is off the table. The music is strung together as one long track, always ending with a comedown. I'll frequently interject at opportune moments over the mix, to contextualize the music and/or to emphasize something worth keeping your ears out for. Music is great because it puts images in your head — like you, dancing.
