My name is Leighton, I'm a 46 year old builder and father of three, DJing started for me back in 1994 when I was 17 the good old days of buying vinyl 12" records had 2 soundlab belt drive turntables and 2 channel mixer but got me on the road to dance music heaven, then came THE TECHNICS SL1200 mk2 and Pioneer djm mixer cost me £1300 was I impressed, done a few clubs and warm up sets for some not so big DJs, had my first child in 1999, second child in 2006 that's when the decks had to go to make way for her bedroom, reluctantly I sold them and 600 records some all time classics but kept some of my favourites as you do, and my DJing days was over until 2017, got a urge to get a small controller one Christmas to have a house party, that was a Pioneer DJ DDJ400 great little bit of tech but what a different world from vinyl, going to digital using laptop, but I enjoyed it,
So had a few goes got into it downloading from Beatport and Traxsource,
doing some mixes recording them playing
