On November 3rd 1957 Laika was one of the first earthlings to enter space through the efforts of the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Until recent times the official report stated that she had perished from a loss of oxygen on the 6th day in orbit. However in 2002 speculations arose that Laika had in fact died due to overheating very early in the pioneering mission into space…
None of which was true…
Now, nearly 50 years on, the Soviet space dog has returned to Earth bringing with it the Sounds of the Universe!
