In 2007, DJ Red Sonya started Lady Lush with Andre Couturier Maitret and Moody Eva, a production company featuring talented female DJ’s and art direction from Andre. Local art and fashion add a backdrop to the event with live artists painting life-size portraits and local boutiques selling their apparel.
The event that originally started in San Diego, California as a weekly club at The Airport Lounge, found its way to other venues, from North Park nightclub AC Lounge and Bar Dynamite in Mission Hills, to bi-annual outdoor events at the infamous The Fire Garden, and also made appearances at downtown LA’s nightclub Tatou and Air Conditioned Supper Club in Venice.
