I'm back on Mixcloud after a long absence and I see I have some of your mixes to catch up on! This one is mesmerizing and mysterious, and evokes echoes at the edge of consciousness. I would have loved to be there while it was created live, and I'd like to give this a listen in a more evocative atmosphere than my office! Very impressive.
I recognize the snippet of melody around 47 minutes, but I'm having trouble remembering the artist, which is appropriate for this mix -- memories just out of reach!
It was a good night! This mix was recorded at the start of the night in a fairly sober setting. Later the same night when the colours were all dripping and leering i recorded another all female mix. Bit of a follow up but more in the sense of feeling. Its good but yeah, bit more rough! Been toying with ideas of what to do with it, thinking physical double decker with this one!

Yes, the focus is on female artists and all which is presented here is fronted or exclusively by women. Perhaps there are some phallic guitar players or such which have slunk in, i have not gone into that level of detail. I started with selecting from my record collection and on the early female black poetry readings i guess the backings are by men and similar situation on the Dominatrix track.
The longer passages are by solo female artists.
