Dj Ping A. K. A Steve Z Ping, is a Chicago-based Dj, producer, remixer, recording artist, entrepreneur, who emerged as a notable figure in the late 1980's in the House music scene.
His breakthrough came in 1992, collaborating in the TC Crew with Tyree Cooper on "Goin' All Out" Lp and 12" singles "I can't do it alone" and "Once Bitten" to name a few, released on Dj International Records.
In 1992, he opened "The Rap Up" in Evanston, Illinois, focused on exclusive 12" and Lp vinyl of Hip Hop and Rap music and had a distribution network connection with 80+ global outlets selling mixtapes and music. Professional Endorsements and Radio Presence-He received endorsements from Stanton Magnetics and Vestax, and served as Mix Show Director at WLUW (Energy 88.7 FM) in Chicago. Legacy-Steve Z Ping remains an influential figure in Chicago house music, with a lasting legacy in DJ culture, production, and artist rights.
