Kaiser Matt cover image

East Lothian, United Kingdom

Descended from a long line of Borders reivers, Matt chose to swap the family sheep rustling business for an over-indulgence in music. For an inexplicable reason, most of the music that fires Matt up was made before he was born, he finds it all seems to get a bit more complex after 1967.

His tenure on rhythm guitar with The Kaisers (not to be confused with the young pretenders from Leeds) only encouraged his liking for seeking out records wherever possible.

Joining Sescot Radio allows Matt, a novice broadcaster, to share music and enjoy community integration in a way that a big station just can’t match.

Due to a post-production modification, Matt can now actually only hear in mono.

Despite the rumours, Matt does actually have colour vision.

An East Lothian resident for nearly 20 years, when time allows he can sometimes be found in Steampunk Coffee in North Berwick with his pop-up turntables – or fly fishing on the Tyne.
