"From humble beginnings mining the dusty contents of her Dad's vinyl collection, Claire Baldwin aka DJ Kafkr has risen to become one of the most promising female DJ and radio broadcast talents in the UK.

Cutting her teeth on the London and Bristol free party circuits, Claire took to the turntables during the early years of the dubstep scene. Operating under the moniker Lady Snake she secured DJ gigs in the UK and Europe, regular radio appearances and releases on Monkey Dub Records.

Fast-forward to 2014 and Claire can be found behind the buttons as a broadcast assistant at Rinse FM, as well as co-hosting the bi-weekly '181 Lockdown' sessions on Nasty FM. Kafkr's radio shows and club sets span techno, house, hip-hop, garage and grime - a DJ with her fingers firmly on the pulse of both the contemporary electronic music scene and the heritage and history that informs it.
