KRARR is a DJ and producer project with Eritrean-Ethiopian roots. The sound moves between East African musical traditions, Romanian Minimal, Detroit Techno, Afro House, Soul and Jazz — reduced, warm, rhythmic and hypnotic.

The name refers to the krar, a traditional string instrument from Eritrea and Ethiopia. For KRARR, this reference is not a folkloric quote, but a starting point: heritage, memory and sound are translated into a distinct electronic language.

Inspired by East African identity, European club culture and the isolation of Transylvania, KRARR creates music that does not explain itself immediately. It is built around slow-burning grooves, hypnotic loops, conscious reduction and sound that is not overloaded, but uncovered.
