KARYO who in his daily life goes by the name Lionel Rampersad 1991 can be considered a successful newbie in the dj scene. As a 17 year old party fanatic he was often unsatisfied with the selection of music at the parties he would go.

He believed the dance scene was ready for a new 'swing' of beats and so he committed himself to this goal. With the help of a personal DJ mentor he learned everything about the CDJ's in only a couple of month's time.

His huge love for Newskool, Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall & Moombahton did not get unnoticed and quite soon after he entered the dj scene he was already performing at some legandary urban parties in the Dutch clubbing scene. After a year time he'd begun to focus a bit more on up-tempo beats and started to gain an interest in Afro House and Future Dancehall. However Karyo had never lost his passion for Urban and challenges hisself by combining the best of both music styles to create an atmosphere that make the people in the club not want to go back
