Seattle, United States
It only took one night inside a Seattle warehouse for electronic music to pave a massive, unseen path that would become an artery of KØAL's life, interest, and pursuits.
Initially it was the West Coast sound of DJs and producers like Donald Glaude, Wicked Records, DJ Dan, Hardkiss Music, Mark Farina, and Grayhound Recordings that were early influences. With weekly visits to the music store and the discovery of the import sections, his growth widened from the artists and releases of Renaissance Records, Ministry of Sound, and Global Underground.
Watching DJs play at events and listening to 'continuous mix' CDs in-between shows, it didn't take long for the interest to learn how to mix records, the passion of developing his darker, chuggin', bass driven, techno, progressive, and breakbeat sound set in... the kind of sound that makes you hunch over, eyes looking down and involuntarily gets your ass to the ground.
