The Junior School Run on RedShift Radio is broadcast live from Crewe every week.

The Junior School Run is a six-week extra-curricular course for children in schools from Cheshire East. Three or four pupils from year 5 or 6 are chosen by the school to visit the RedShift Radio studios on Mirion Street in Crewe for an hour a week for six weeks.

Pupils will be taught to produce and present their very own radio show and by week three they are usually “driving the desk” and presenting like naturals.

The outcomes are clear to everyone, confidence, communication, team working and time keeping skills are always noted by RedShift staff, teachers and parents alike.
