New Jersey, United States
Started spinning in the late 80's / early 90's using straight arm belt driven turntables with the quarter on the needle and a fan on the amp. Later, graduated to a pair of 1200's and real amps and speakers. Joined together with grammar school buddies and we started a group called the Noise Boyz. Started out DJing for the grammar school in the cafeteria moving on to high school and colleges. Had the opportunity to become a regular party goer at the Funhouse, Underground, 1018, Tunnel, Studio 54, Palladium, Limelight just to name a few. Listening to all the DJ's mixing helped me with my craft today !! These DJ's were badass and listening to them mix was mesmerizing. Vinyl Mania in NYC was a stop, listening to them play the latest vinyl. Also, Record City in Passaic was a weekly visit for us. Joe was very helpful and would play whatever we wanted to hear. Now, fast forward, we are in the digital era which has been a blessing in disguise.
