Janoih Nigel Reid (Born May 1, 1991), better known by his stage name John I, is a Jamaican Artiste, electronic music producer and singer-songwriter. Grew up in Portmore, St. Catherine, and John I showed his interest in music while he was still in high school, after seeing his former mentor and friend Craig C (R.I.P) performing with S.O.P at Portmore United Church in 2004. Performing at local talent contest, secular and church events using the alias J.R where he gained exposure and perfected his performing skills. After doing background vocals for Craig C for a year, he when solo in 2005 changing his name to John i.
