Joe Osborne is assistant editor at Latin-American culture platform @soundsandcolours , and the founder of @brazilianwaxfm , a DJ/Promoter duo that shares contemporary and underrepresented Brazilian music worldwide. Based between London, Berlin and Manchester, Brazilian Wax has hosted sold-out parties all over the UK, and shared their Brazilian passion and heritage with radio stations as diverse as Worldwide FM, Dublab Brasil, Radio Alhara, Reform Radio and Jazz FM. Alongside partying with celebrated UK DJs like Boiler Room founder Thris Tian, Mafalda, Mr Bongo, and UK jazz trailblazers Nubya Garcia and Emma-Jean Thackray, the duo promote and host Brazilian DJ royalty in the UK - like Selvagem’s Trepanado, with whom they were touring when lockdown began in March. Under his own name and various monikers - j yettram, PATO, Brazilian Wax - Joe has become one of the primary authorities on contemporary Brazilian and Latin American music in the UK.
