Jay Sustain

Dallas, Texas, United States

From the early pause-record splices on cassette tape to his first DJ gigs in the 90’s, Jay Sustain began early. His breakout came in 2005 when he won a Sony remix contest for D:Fuse’s “Everything With You," leading to an explosion of interest in his DJing and productions. After a few years as a fixture in the Atlanta scene, he was lured to NYC by opportunities at both SAE (School of Audio Engineering) and the legendary Brooklyn hip-hop club, Sputnik. From there he embarked on a more experimental path, including collaborations with classical cellist Dave Eggar (Foreigner, Evanescence, A Great Big World) on a series of projects that included Sasha Lazard, Dina Finai, Roy Mayorga, among others, and resulted in his first foray into soundtracks with work on Blind, a film produced & directed by Robert Redford. In 2018, Jay relocated to Deep Ellum, Dallas and dove head-first into the Texas music scene.
