Jaime’s my name. Gaucho was my airname in Philippine Radio for about 20 years. Loved it!

In 20+ plus years of being a DJ, I worked with multiple formats across 6 different radio stations. For a good 15 years Gaucho was a CHR jock, despite being a rocker at heart. But the Top 40 format was the toughest. It also made room for a lot of exploration. And, then, I got into narrations. Worked for Living Asia, a Nat Geo-Asia type of channel. After that, I became the continuity announcer for Fox Sports Asia. What a trip, too. A different type delivery altogether. It was sort of animated—for exaggeration purposes—but not cartoonish. Unfortunately, I don’t have any air-checks of those days. Can’t even find them on YouTube. You can for the Living Asia Channel narrations, though. Did some ads as well, in between my different stages of the craft. What does the future hold? Right now, just stuff in my head.
