Jack Lucas is a singer/songwriter best known for his guitar work with Perth band, Six Mile High (formerly Yummy Fur) and later for the Ku-Ling Bros (with Stephen Mallinder of Cabaret Voltaire), and Squid Ink (with RTR’s Dan ‘The Man’ Moore). Jack’s guitar work also featured prominently on the debut solo album of Happy Mondays’ frontman, Shaun Ryder’s critically acclaimed debut solo album, Amateur Night in the Bigtop.

It’s been several years since Offworld Sounds last released an album.
RTRFM recently broadcast a 2 hour retrospective about the label; the show finished with a new track from BLAKJAK. It got us thinking. Jack Lucas the man behind BLAKJAK was part of the Offworld family so it made perfect sense that the new BLAKJAK album should launch the next chapter in the label’s history.
