JONO, real name Jonas Malatji, is a Johannesburg-based DJ, Producer and Remixer originally from the Northern parts of South Africa, Limpopo. Although his Djing journey began in late 2008, his musical journey for house music began in late 1990s when he laid his hands no The Church Grooves First Commandment mixed by one of the front runners and most renowned legendary DJ, Oskido. This is where the love and desire for dance music started.
Since developing the love and passion for house music, he has stayed true to his love for soulful house which is mostly influenced by Dennis Ferrer and Quentin Harris, a blend of deep tech most influence by Manno and Rocco, Afro deep and deep house, which in his definition he describes as The Universal sounds of house music (TUSOHM).
