Originally from Toronto, JNR spent over 2 decades at the forefront of the Asian dance music scene, based out of Singapore. While abroad, he cultivated his brand of soul-inspired, feel-good music at events, such as, Malasimbo Festival, Wonderfruit Festival and Singapore Grand Prix. Musically, JNR blurs the lines between genres blending boogie-funk and disco, to a late-night set of upfront and underground House and Techno. His sound is a blend of Deep House, Afro House, Tech House, fused with Boogie, Philly Soul, and early Chicago House. He has shared the stage with the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Seth Troxler, Dubfire, Louie Vega, Osunlade, Joris Voorn, Tiefschwarz, Anja Schneider, Agoria, Paul Kalkbrenner, Fritz Kalkebrenner, Trus’me, Spirit Catcher, DAM-FUNK, Dimitri From Paris, Derrick Carter, Citizen and Jojo Flores, to name just a few. He has also recently signed with Bellosound, regularly featuring at their extensive client list of exclusive venues in Toronto.
