Cherry Break is the project of J.V. Cherry, a DJ who came up on the sound that shook low-ceilinged rooms until 7am — the breakbeat in all its forms. Across a set he moves between old-school rave and hardcore, the golden-era hip hop that shares its DNA, and the drum & bass it all bled into, treating them not as separate genres but as one continuous lineage of bass and breaks.
