Jazz Around Funk, is called “JAF” for short is a cover instrumental band formed in Fukuoka in July 2017.
The rough and earthy groove sounds such as bebop jazz, Chicago blues, deep soul and raw funk music, we LOVE all such things!
Our performance style is not cheerful like common funky “Yeah!” bands, but blunt and curt like the Miles Davis groups of the electric period or the minimal style by almost a single chord like James Brown around 1970.
We are uploading some records from our session once a month, even when all the members can not gather.
