I-REALMS – Biography
Although singer, songwriter, and Nyahbinghi bassist I-Realms AKA Shaun O’Brien Lewis-Francis was born in England, in 1961 his parents sent him to live with family in the Caribbean.
As a result, the youngster relocated from West Bromwich, a busy market town in the West Midlands, to Charles Town, St Mary, a small rural community on Jamaica’s north coast.
Upon his return to the West Midlands in 1977, I-Realms’ father helped him find work as an automotive body specialist, and he later gained employment with local car dealerships Charles Clark and Gerard Mann after learning how to spray cars.
Around this time, I-Realms became a car trader, and began expressing artistic talents through photography.
His artistic passions developed further throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and he established One Love Promotion, which produced events featuring Jamaican reggae acts such as Prezident Brown, Mikey Simpson, Professor Frisky, Shaggy Wonder, and True Love sound system.
