INCIPIT is the artistic alias of Lorenzo Pinci, a DJ and producer born in Rome. The name is an anagram of his surname and represents the idea of a new beginning and a musical story constantly evolving. His creative path began in 2007 during a six-month stay in Zanzibar, where he experienced African musical culture firsthand and discovered the power of tribal rhythms and traditional percussion, elements that would later shape his sound.

After years of study, experimentation, and artistic growth, Lorenzo felt the need to merge two musical dimensions: one rooted in earthy tribal grooves and African influences, and the other driven by contemporary electronic soundscapes. In 2025 the INCIPIT project was born, blending Afro percussion with hypnotic electronic structures and deep atmospheres.

His music explores emotional and immersive sonic landscapes, aiming to transport listeners into a space where rhythm, spirituality, and artistic vision connect.
