Leon Bryant grew up in New York City’s Spanish Harlem, listening to some of the great Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Latin, and DooWop music. Attended Broadcast Coaching Associates in NYC to learn the Art of Radio Announcing.
In 1995 I started working at WLFR, with the same format I used at WUSS. I continue to use this format because I realize, that the true 50's through the 90's R&B, Blues, Jazz, Latin and DooWop was being dismissed by most stations that play oldies. I try to give my listeners information about those artists from our past.
