This mix couldn't have hit the spot more for me. Being half Jamaican, from Hawaii, and having only otherwise lived in LA, you could say I'm an expert on summer, sun, and sand. Growing up, reggae and dancehall hit the radios hard due to Hawaii's love for Jamaican music.
"Summer Lust" gives me a summer-in-Jamaica vibe and takes me back to massive parties in Kingston and country, wining up on the dance floor or in the sand. As I listen, memories roll by of good times with friends, beach scenes, and that feeling of living in the moment.
