HonkakuDJ is a Philadelphia-based DJ and record collector with a passion for international and jazz-inflected sounds, primarily focused on Latin (salsa, boogaloo, Afro-Cuban jazz) and Japanese (city pop, boogie, AOR). His DJ career began 15 years ago in San Francisco with residencies at El Valenciano and Cafe Cocomo, as well as national and worldwide appearances in LA, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, Boston, NYC, Barcelona, Mexico City, Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, and Sapporo.
