In 1998, Chris fell in love with the sounds of drum’n’bass. Toronto’s jungle scene was
healthy and vibrant, so Chris began attending parties and club events to get his DNB fix.
Around 2000, Chris was no longer content standing on the side lines, simply watching his
favouriteemcee’s and dj’s tearing up dancefloors all over the city. So he did what any
true aspiring artist would do and began writing constantly. Soon after, he began going out
to the shows and parties, alongside other up & coming mc’s. Thus MC Sketchee was born,
although he would later in 2005 changed name to Gunja Fly Mc, which he still goes by
today.
In 2001, known as Sketchee, he began MC'ing at a couple of Kink"e" parties held
by Decible Productions. Soon after he began performing at house parties mostly.
As the styles of jungle changed though the yrs so did the styles chris enjoyed listening
and performing too
of course ragga is close to his heart he fell in love with dark dnb and wobble.
