RJ Castillo has grown up around music for most of his life starting in 1996 when he joined his middle school concert band. During high school he solidified his yearning for music as he decided to make it a habit by joining marching band as well as drumline in 3 different high schools in a 4 year period. This wasn't enough. In 2001 he joined the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps in Sacramento, CA as a baritone for another 4 years. He's also performed in Sacramento State's Drumline in 2004. Castillo attended Delta Community College in Stockton, CA as a Music Major for a short time. Lack of money halted his studies.

After a bitter departure from California and seeking a new life, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2005 where his study of music had been put aside for another time. During the course of his enlistment and traveling to many different countries, he's widened his taste to different genres such as drum n bass, trance, house, techno, lounge and many others.
