Grandpapayellaman has been DJing out and about since 1999 and became a founder member of the Detectives of Perspective (DOP) DJ collative from the clubnights inception in 2001. Over the years he has played alongside and supported some of the world’s finest DJs and artists including DJ Cheeba, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, Bonobo, Steinski, Coldcut, Hexstatic, DJ Food and DK, Luke Vibert, DJ Krush, DJ Kentaro, Roots Manuva, The Quemists and many many more.
DOP were for a time in charge of the world’s only Solid Steel / Ninja Tune residency in Bristol and Gpapas eclectic mix of bass heavy breaks, jungle & drum and bass is guaranteed to set any dancefloor alight (from Croatian boat party or moonlit beach stage to Bristol mega clubs like Lakota and Motion).
