If having a ton of playlists and losing track of them was a job, I am well overqualified and I could've retired at 16.

That being said, I've developed my sonic journals - playlists - with the influence of friends, parents, and stopping in the middle of the sidewalk to figure out a song playing from the inside of a shop. Aside from some fun tunes, I can yap if I'm really feeling it (by "it" I mean caffeinated). Here and there I'll dig into artists' lyricism and my own amateur pseudo-musicologist thoughts.
