Somewhere in the beginning of my DJ carreer I received the name Gijs from Space from some locals in a bar where I was resident DJ.

I started collecting, digging and playing records somewhere in 1998.
At first I only liked the electro sound. But soon a mix tape of I-F came to my ear, in which he played Charlie - Space Woman. I instantly fell in love with that record and my love for Italo Disco started. Later this love expanded itself to Chicago house, Disco, Oldscool, ... and all good quality dance music.
