I'm very grateful to be able to play at the fantastic Stranded Bar in Fortitude Valley and love the broad range of records I'm able to play over a five hour stint.
Continuing my infrequent series of sets covering the early part of the night through till close, here's a typical third hour set. It's around 10pm, the folks in the bar have been there for two hours, had a few bevvies, so they are ready to dance, the bar hoppers are popping, you want to grab there attention with people on the floor and cracking sounds.
This set has some of my favourite Stranded spins like Violent Femmes, The Cure, Devo and Blondie spinning in the gradual build up to the final hours of the night.
There's something for everyone, with timeless anthems that never grow old and always pull folks to the floor.
Play it loud, sing it loud and dance like no ones watching (If you're driving, keep your hands on the wheel)
