For some people, music is a great escape from reality. For Steve Gamo, music is his way of life. Born 1990 in Chicago, Illinois, Gamo grew up listening to a lot of hip-hop and electronic music spun by Chicago’s top Djs. This electronic vibe stuck with him throughout his hip-hop production. Gamo has worked with many artists including multi-platinum rapper Too Short, D.T.P.’s Willy Northpole, Black Wallstreet's Juice McCain, along with Paper Route’s Swag. His style of production is one of a kind, and he originally composes all of his music. In 2007, Gamo began singing and writing lyrics to his beats, as well as rapping. Currently, Gamo produces and composes his instrumentals, and then sings and raps on them to create a complete hit. He likes to continue living by his standard of “making a song a day”, and he hasn’t stopped since he started that mindset.
